What you’ll need:
- Apples: I prefer to use sweeter apples like Fuji or Honey Crisp for these tarts.
- Honey: Feel free to substitute honey for agave nectar or maple syrup.
- Goat cheese: this cheese pairs well with apples, but gorgonzola cheese or brie cheese would be just as tasty for these.
- Puff pastry sheets (store-bought): this recipe makes two- 3″x4″ individual tarts, but can be easily multiplied to make more or one big sheet pan to share!
- Egg: for the egg wash, you can substitute the egg with milk or an egg alternative!

How to make these Puff Pastry Apple Tarts with Goat Cheese and Honey:
These puff pastry tarts are so effortless and delicious, you’ll find yourself making these all the time!
- Preheat your oven to 350F and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Drizzle honey directly onto the parchment paper and place slices of apple on top of the honey.
- Sprinkle a generous amount of goat cheese on top of the apple slices. Place the puff pastry on top of the goat cheese.
- Use a fork to press around the edges of the puff pastry to seal it closed.
- Brush egg wash on top of the push pastry. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Use a bench scraper or spatula to flip the cooked puff pastries over and drizzle some more honey over to enjoy!
